The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the superior variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. read more The service position established for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all clients and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
